Aims and objectives of the project and problems to be addressed
 
The main objective of the proposed project of YFD is the coverage and public discussion of topical problems of Zagatala region, related to the activity of religious communities and NGOs, as well as enlightenment work among them with the purposes of:

• To raise awareness of Islamophobia; mobilize institutions and organizations active against discrimination in the fight against it;
• To propose measures for political and educational action aimed at increasing understanding and respect for religious diversity among young people;
• To promote co-operation between Muslim and other people and faith-based organizations;
• To identify relations and inter-religious co-operation with young people; criteria for good practices on intercultural and inter-religious youth work; 
• To promote sustainable legal assistance related to establishment and activity of NGOs and faith-based organizations.

Project activities

In order to attain the objectives and tasks set in the territory of Zagatala region we plan to establish regional office of YFD which will provide sustainable work aimed on briefing the population on the procedure of registration of NGOs and faith-based organizations notion of Islamophobia and how to struggle against it, promote co-operation between Muslim and other people and faith-based organizations.

The following types of activities will be provided by Regional office of YFD during 3 months:

• Trainings on intercultural learning and interreligous dialogue – once in a month.  Trainings will be run mainly with the help of non-formal education methods, but in order to create common ground for all participants readers
• Permanent legal assistance – hired lawyer and local representative of YFD will provide the population with necessary knowledge related to the procedure of the registration of NGOs and faith-based organizations and other necessary information.  
• Permanent meetings with religious communities aimed on more detailed learning of the situation in the region.
• Publication and circulation of informational booklets. Booklets will include information on the legal aspects of the procedure of registration of NGOs and faith-based organizations.
